چکیده

Complex-mass (finite-width) 0 nonet and decouplet are discussed in exotic commutator method approach. Besides of the known mass formulae for real parts of the complex masses, one gets relations for total widths of the particles. It is shown that anomalies of the widths of f0(980) and a0(980) mesons do not justify rejecting the qq̄ structure for them; the reduction of their widths follows from an extra unflavor mechanism suppressing decay. In the decouplet, the extra singlet state (glueball) is distributed between the states of f0(1370) and f0(1500) mesons. All known scalar mesons with the mass smaller than 2000 MeV (excluding σ(600)) and one with the mass 2200 ÷ 2400 MeV belong to the nonet or decouplet. The meson σ(600) does not mix with other particles.

Dynamics of Multiquark Systems: Mass, Width and Exotics

The quark model describes mesons and baryons in terms of constituent quarks. Mesons are qq̄ states and baryons are qqq, while all the other combinations of quarks, such as qqq̄q̄, qqqqq̄, are called exotic. The constituent quarks must be effective degrees of freedom which are valid only in low energy regime. They must have the same conserved charges as the QCD quarks: baryon number 1/3, spin 1/2, c...

THE IOTA IN RADIATIVE J/q!. DECAYS bY

The continued study of light meson spectroscopy holds out two inviting prospects: (A) We can discover more about the mesons with masses 1 + 2 GeV/c2, (B) if anomalous mesons are identified we will have found either exotics (states with quantum numbers not permitted by the standard quark model), hybrids (states which are quark-gluon mixtures) or glueballs (bound gluon states). Both these objecti...
